I’ve created Tailored Art Appraisal and Advisory bringing together the skills I’ve learned in healthcare, community service, and my passion for Art and Antiques.

I’ve spent decades traveling the United States and international cities visiting antique shows, art fairs, and galleries. Each experience has deepened my sense of curiosity about the history of objects and art. Curiosity and history go hand-in-hand with research to develop and understand the context in which objects and art were created and how they are viewed today. It is this contextual understanding of both past and present that provides the basis for valuation and appraisal services. Like Mies Van Der Rohe said, “God lies in the details”!

When not scouring the United States in search of art and antiques, I have spent the last 30 years in private practice as a dentist in Southern California.  My drive for excellence has been to create a professional and personalized experience to exceed my clientele’s health expectations. In addition, I’ve shared my business acumen and belief in art through the successful launch of a non-profit art community center in the heart of downtown Long Beach California. The art center provides ongoing artist residencies, programs, and gallery space to a vibrant and urban art community.
